![]() ![]() Yes, today the iPad version of Darkest Dungeon has updated with both the Crimson Court DLC and the new adventurer, the Shieldbreaker now available via DLC. Both were valid points–it’s close, but not a perfect port–but I loved it and kept throwing my hapless adventurers right into the woodchipper with the hope that the Crimson Court and other expansion content would soon arrive on the platform. I know the love for DD wasn’t universal with many complaining about the wonky UI that could be both tiny and fidgety at the same time, while others saying the difficulty level went beyond their definition of fun. When Darkest Dungeon came out for iPad last fall, I instantly became addicted and played it more than I had in the previous three years it had dwelled on my laptop. The Shieldbreaker DLC will set you back £2.89/$3.99/€3.99 on Steam, but it’s also accompanied by a free update, introducing enemy stealth mechanics and a curio tracker which will make it easier to manage your curios and know which ones confer negative or positive effects.IPad, PC/Mac/Linux, Switch, Xbox, Playstation ![]() ![]() If you let her join your miserable adventuring troupe, you’ll also be able to hunt down some Shieldbreaker-specific trinkets, which should come in handy when you’re trying not to be devoured by the three new monsters from the hero’s past who are now making their way to the estate for lunch. Though relatively low health, the Shieldbreaker is yet highly survivable in short bursts thanks to her Aegis shield. ![]() Her movement, speed, and targeted abilities make her a valuable ally for dismantling intractable monster groups. The Shieldbreaker is a highly-tactical hero with solid damage dealing capability, she excels in countering monsters with high protection and those who guard their allies.
